The Michigan Road Trip.

After growing up snowmobiling in the Upper Peninsula, roaring through beautifully silent, snow-decked forests and thickly iced lakes and attending the University of Michigan & exploring the Great Lakes, how could I not seize the opportunity to visit again? The most difficult portion of the planning process: condensing the potential stops to our week’s worth of time. Without exaggeration, I could have spent a month hiking and swimming with absolutely no cell reception and been the happiest clam on the planet.

The beauty of Lake Superior and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan! Cyan, turquoise, cerulean, teal, sometimes even light violet…just ogling the waves is mesmerizing and peaceful. I love this state and the Great Lakes, their wild, remote beauty and escape from reality.

Go Chasing Waterfalls!

One of the most beautiful day-hikes in Pennsylvania, the Rickett’s Glen Falls Loop has over 20 waterfalls to explore! Who knew this state has so much incredible nature?!

Magnificent Zion, Utah

Crisp air fills my lungs and massive beauty fills my eyes as my conflicted brain attempts to also focus on where I am placing my rapidly climbing clumsy feet. The canyon, grasping trees, snaking emerald river and sage green shrubs, with deep iron red rock reaching stoic hands toward the sky…photos never do such places justice. You have to go.
